At the initial diagnosis, your Aeriel Amplification technician will advise you of the work needed and provide a quote if required. If we later find additional services are required, we will contact you again to advise you of your options and for your approval to proceed with work that will incur extra charges. We will never leave you uninformed.

Tube Amplifier Repair
Tube guitar amps or valve amps are very popular and many guitar players will always prefer the sound of a tube/valve guitar amplifier. A Tube guitar amplifier repair can often involve replacing either input jacks, output jacks, connectors or valve sockets, pots or even the filter capacitors in the power supply as well as the tubes. If you own a vintage guitar tube amp, you may notice the performance slowly deteriorating. Classic symptoms of components deteriorating are low frequency hum and/or poor tonal quality, low power output and possible noise. We can totally overhaul your tube amplifier, replacing leaky capacitors and other components to bring your favorite amplifier back to its optimum working condition.
Re-tubing
Aeriel Amplification purchases bulk quantities of tubes and they come matched and graded in sets of pairs or quads. We check the tubes before installing them in your amplifier. The new tubes that are selected will be closest to the rating required, taking into account the bias voltage within the amplifier. The bias is then set for the ideal and optimum operating point.
Solid State Amplifiers
Cost and weight are good reasons why solid state guitar amplifiers are so popular. Even though these amps are more popular than tube guitar amplifiers, solid state amplifiers are just as prone to faults and problems as tube amps. We regularly repair and replace broken input jacks or output jacks, resolder dry solder joints, clean or replace noisy pots and replace blown output and power supply components.
